FAMILIES WITH SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN CAN APPLY NOW FOR P-EBT
Families with school children who are eligible for free or reduced-priced school meals can now apply for a Pandemic Electronic Benefits card (P-EBT) loaded with $365 per qualified child. P-EBT cards were automatically mailed to families of school-aged children who receive Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and Foster Care benefits. You should apply now if your child participates in one of those programs, attends a school closed due to the pandemic, and you have yet to receive the P-EBT card. You may also apply if your child receives free school meals, but doesn't participate in one of the automatic eligibility programs. If your child's school provides free meals to all children, your child is also eligible for the P-EBT, even if your family wouldn't otherwise qualify.

The application is short and should take no more than a few moments to complete. It is available in Spanish and Chinese.

P-EBT cards can be used to purchase groceries at stores that accept EBT payments. Recently Amazon and Walmart were approved to accept EBT cards for online orders, (not including delivery fees). Food-4-Less and Ralph's accept EBT cards for online orders that are picked up curbside. Applications close on June 30.
